EMUS CHICKS FOR SALE The following information is as of 09/16/2012: Unsexed Baby Emu Chicks (5-10 day old)  $100.00 each, when available in 2013. We will be taking orders for the 2013 hatch season, starting in December 2012.  There is a minimum order of two (2) chicks. To reserve chicks, we require a $20.00 down-payment for each chick ordered.    On-farm pick-up of emu chicks is available.  Otherwise, they are shipped via Air Cargo.  We ship only within the USA (48 states).  Shipping charges are approximately $240.00 for up to 8 chicks per pet carrier.  The emu chicks usually arrive to your area within 8 hours of leaving us.  Shipping to your area, can occur when the high/low temperatures for all enroute airports are between 45-85 degrees farenhiet.  This is around Mid-March through Late-May. ======================== A Veterinarian Health Certificate is included in the above pricing.  The prices do not include any Import State required blood tests and delivery or shipping charges. Call or email us about availability of emus. EMU HAULING We can deliver any emu chicks under three (3) months old to you.  The delivery charge is $1.10 per loaded mile.  On-farm pickup is available. FRESH, FERTILE EMU HATCHING EGGS Emus lay their eggs seasonally.  Starting usually around the end of October to the  end of April. Best availability of emu eggs is January to Mid-March.  To place your order for emu eggs for hatching, click here. The eggs will be carefully wrapped and packaged in packing material.  I will ship the fresh eggs by Priority Mail within two days after they have been laid. The eggs weigh about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 pounds each.  Our eggs come from unrelated pairs that have a history of fertility and hatchability.  Our birds have been fed quality emu feed and they are healthy birds with eggs that are antibiotic, hormone, and chemical free. We are happy to offer after sale support throughout the incubation and rearing process. +++NOTE:  Emu eggs are VERY LARGE and you will need an incubator that will accommodate them. We use a GQF cabinet style sportsman type incubator. When incubating eggs, they need to be kept at the proper temperature and humidity and rotation of eggs is necessary to help ensure a successful hatch.  +++NOTE:  We Make NO GUARANTEES for live hatch due to possible circumstances of improper incubation and etc. (weather related or otherwise) during the 50-52 day incubation period required for these eggs. We have no control of mishandling of packages and etc. during shipping; which could cause unhatchability. The eggs are insured against breakage.  In case of breakage, contact your postmaster to file your claim. You will need your sales receipt, shipping label, contents, and shipping containers.
